Call for Papers

[call for papers in PDF]

The worldwide growing energy demands together with the increasing depletion of fossil fuels have been recognized as a major challenge that needs to be urgently addressed by society in order to have a sustainable future. According to the U.S. Energy Department, worldwide energy consumption is forecasted to increase by 53% from 2008 to 2035 if nothing is done to change the current trends. The Information and Communications Technology sector (ICT) is one of the sectors with the highest potential to reduce the growing worldwide electricity consumption if appropriate measures are taken in a timely manner.

In this context, IEEE OnlineGreenComm 2013, the third edition of IEEE Communications Society’s Online Conference on Green Communications solicits original, unpublished research papers both from academy and industry reporting on substantial results in the green communications area enabling significant future energy savings. A selection of the best papers (substantially revised versions) accepted at the conference will be considered for a fast track in a high quality journal, SCI/SCI-E indexed journal. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
